Fold Table Clock (the "app") is made by Aiclysm, the trade name of a sole trader registered in the Czech Republic ("we", "us"). Contact: support@aiclysm.com
In short
The app does not collect, send or share any personal data. It has no internet access (it does not ask Android for the internet permission), no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no crash reporting. Everything it works with stays on your phone.
What the app uses on your phone, and why
- Alarms and settings. Stored only in the app's own storage on your phone. Alarms are kept in the part of storage that Android opens before the first unlock, so an alarm can ring after a night-time restart before you enter your PIN.
- Calendar (optional). Only if you choose the calendar clock face and allow calendar access. The app then reads your events from now until the end of tomorrow to show them on the clock. It does not store or change them. While the phone is locked, event titles stay hidden unless you turn them on.
- Photos (optional). Only if you choose the photo face. You pick photos in the Android photo picker, so the app never sees the rest of your gallery. It keeps smaller copies of the chosen photos in its private storage, so the frame keeps working when an original is moved or deleted. "Remove all" in the app, or uninstalling the app, deletes the copies.
- Sensors. While the bedside clock is on screen, the app reads the light, proximity and motion sensors to wake the screen, notice a tap, a knock or a wave, and switch to the night colours. The readings are used at once and are not stored.
- Device diagnostics (optional). When you run diagnostics, the app checks what your phone supports (displays, hinge, sensors) and saves a text report in its own folder on your phone. It is never sent anywhere; you can share the file yourself if you want to.
- Notifications, exact alarms and the full-screen alarm. Used only to ring your alarms on time, show the alarm screen, and tell you about an alarm that was missed.
Backups
If backup is turned on in your phone's settings, Android may include the app's data (alarms, settings and the copies of chosen photos) in your device backup in your Google account. Google handles that backup under your account settings. We have no access to it.
Sharing
We do not receive, sell or share any data from the app.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13.
Security, retention and deletion
Alarms, settings and the photo copies stay in the app's private storage, which Android keeps apart from other apps. The optional diagnostics report is saved in the app's own folder, which you can reach over USB. Nothing leaves the phone through the app. The data stays until you remove it in the app ("Remove all" for photos), clear the app's storage in your phone's settings, or uninstall the app, which deletes all of it.
Changes
If the app starts to handle data differently, for example to show the weather, we will update this page and its date before that version is released.
